A little bit about us...

Burning Sensation is focused on end game raiding. A more appropriate terminology most people are familiar with is hardcore. You come, you raid, you die many times, and you see all of the end game content. If you don’t come, if you’re late consistently, if you don’t bring what’s necessary; you go buh-bye.

Burning Sensation was created after “someone” inappropriately touched a squirrel or two during raids, was inflicted with something that made it hurt when he went tinkle. What’s worse is the fact that merely healing others would pass along this ailment to others! After finding no hope in penicillin, those with this burning affliction rallied together. We are Burning Sensation, and we’re full of BS.

Ok so that story has no relevance to anything we are about, but it does indicate the kind of sense of humor you’re going to need to have to be apart of our guild. If you find that offensive don’t bother applying. We will not bend to meet your needs, there are too many other competent Horde guilds on Draka you can go to.

Our strict overall rules...

If you break one of these, you’ll get a strike (at least) or be removed (at worst). It is up to your Class Leader. If the offense is bad enough an Officer will remove you, or give you a strike. There will be clarification as to who does what in the guild a little bit further down.

All these rules break down to something simple, use common sense.

1. Treat your fellow BS’ members as you would be treated (i.e. respect).
It is ok to disagree with each other, do it though respectfully.
• • Do not cuss another BS member out.
“Hazing”, “Razzing”, and “Taunting” someone else is great as long as they are ok with it, but if they ask you to stop. Stop.

2. No excessive whining.
Yes sometimes things suck for you. But there is no need to be consistently in your own pity party, no one wants to deal with that.

3. Don’t gloat.
There is a difference in being excited about getting X item, and rubbing someone’s face in it, if you don’t know this difference don’t apply.

4. No begging / No pestering.

5. No leeching during guild runs.
Show up and play, not show up and afk.

The goal is to have ~36 total people raiding. So 4 per class total.

BS Raider Rules…

You will be expected to follow these rules if you are a BS Raider as well, if you are not, it could also result in a strike.

There will be 3 25 man raids a week. There maybe more but the 3 are considered official and will count against you if you miss.

Requirements
You must attend 80% (averaged) of official raids.
This will be evaluated by your class leaders.
If there are others ahead of you, you will not be counted absent if you are fully ready to go at raid time. YOU MUST BE READY whether you are going or not unless it is one of the times you choose to take off.
Barring an emergency you need to be here the full raid time, or you will be counted absent.

You must be at the zone, fully repaired within 15 minutes of invites starting.
1 second after 15 minutes you are marked as missed for the Raid and it will be counted against you.

You must have all required potions for your class.
Healing / Mana / Bandages / Reagents

You must have at least white enchants on your gear.
You do not have to have the top tier enchants on all your gear but you will be required to have enchants set forth by your Class Leader.

Your computer must be able to handle 40 man instances consistently.
If you have computer problems, you are given 4 weeks to get the issue resolved
• • After this time you will be bumped down to the Friends and Family or removed from the guild depending on the Class Leader’s discretion.

You will be expected to behave maturely.
There will be no shit talking to each other, no degrading one another.
There will be no moaning on why it is taking so long to get a fight going.
• • You will be disciplined if you complain as to why a fight is taking so long to get going.
You will be expected to kill chatter 5 minutes before a fight / during a fight on vent (use common sense)
• • Talking is fine if it is relevant or the fight does not require concentration. (Nothing should be said if it doesn’t pertain to the fight during a fight)

Notes

Raid Invites
Raid invites will go in order of need of class / attendance points (AP).
• • Every time you are ready for a raid, regardless of if you are going to be able to go or not (depending on the fullness of the raid), you will receive an AP.
• • • If there is a tie when the first 25 man runs start, it will be dependent on who has been in the guild the longest, or if the Class Leader has arranged something

Raids for the following week will be put up Sunday
Please sign up for Raids you are positive you can attend.

BS Friends and Family...

There are a lot of people who are real life friends of those in the guild, or spouses, girlfriends / boyfriends etc, who would rather just not play than be without their friend / mate / etc…

Our Friends and Family rank is especially for these people...

While there are very few rules, there is one incredibly important one.

Requirements

DO NOT EXPECT TO RAID ON THE OFFICAL RAIDS
There will be times when we ask does anyone want to come on x raid, at which time you can definitely pipe up that you’d like to go
You can go freely to the 5 – 10 mans as much as you’d like to
If you whine, one time, about not being able to raid and you have this rank, you will IMMEDIATELY be removed from the guild
If you are serious about raiding and you are not a BS Raider find another guild
You can accumulate DKP, however it is considered secondary tier
This rank is for FRIENDS and FAMILY who do not care if they raid, maybe would love to raid but will not MOAN about not raiding

Loot Rules

We use a modified zero sum DKP system. It is a unified DKP system, that is to say your DKP earned in one instance travels beyond to the next instance. DKP is only accumulated in 25 man dungeons. Please see, “DKP and YOU” further down for more explanation.

5-10 Man
All pass first, discuss, need, then greed roll if no one needs it.

25 Man
Master Looter will be established

Greens
• • Given to the guild Disenchanter for materials needed on enchants.
• • • If you need a green as an upgrade speak up quick.

Blues
• • Blues are "secure with dkp", open roll for the class they are for if no securing, guild Disenchanter if nobody needs.

Purples
• • Highest DKP has first choice, if no one desires the item, if it is a weapon it may go to toy roll and have its dkp reduced if the item has shown a past history (to be determined by the raid leader) of being DE'd, it is the call of the Raid Leader. If no one purchase item it is DE'd and sent to the guild bank.
Friends and Family loot rules: You are second tier. If no BS Raider needs an item you are welcome to spend your DKP on it.
Alt loot rules: If you’re an alt you must respect the fact that an alt is just that. You already have a main, and therefore gearing someone else’s main above your alt is a priority, regardless.
• • Alts can accumulate and spend DKP in raids, however they are third tier and only to “compete” with their DKP vs other alts.
• • Plain and simple: Alts are 3rd class citizens.

Our DKP System

Our DKP is based around a Zero Sum DKP system, except with modifications we feel are necessary to fit around our guild attitude as a whole. DKP transfers from dungeon to dungeon. There are valid arguments to having individual DKP systems based upon which dungeon you go to, but overall this will help the guild on a whole, he whom raids the most is the most beneficial to the guild on a whole.

How it is accumulated?

The basis of this system is that each item will be given a value of DKP. Upon purchasing of the item, the sum of the DKP for the given item, is split into the number of people on a raid.

For example:

Super Axe has a value of 100 DKP. Player A purchases Super Axe. 100 DKP is taken from Player A, and distributed to the rest of the raid. So 100 / 25 = 4. Player A in actuality just spent 96 (4 for the DKP he just got back) DKP and has purchased the item, while the remainder of the raid accumulates 4 DKP each.

How will my points be known?

Your points will be recorded on the website at all times after raids are completed. We encourage you to write down your own DKP and keep track of it, in addition it would benefit you to download HoB_DKP and CT_RaidTracker even if it is not the modified version so you can keep your own historical records.

How do you determine the value of an item’s DKP?

We use HoB_DKP, to score the items.

When you download and install the addon, please do the following two things.

/hdkp multi 3
/hdkp period 0

We are utilizing a multiplier of 3 because it is historical.

The Strike System

Discipline issues are handled by your Class Leader or an Officer if your Class Leader is not on.

If you receive a strike from your Class Leader or Officer it will be displayed on the log in page, along with on a sheet that the Class Leaders / Officers see. It will not be displayed on the roster because it is not meant to embarrass you.

The only person who can remove a strike from you will be your Class Leader or an Officer as well, they deteriorate with time (as decided by your class leader).

The first strike will be a warning via whisper / in game mail or a private message on the forums (or a combination of 2 or 3). Your Class Leader is not singling you out to make you feel bad only to let you know some rule has been broken that needs to be improved upon.

The second strike will come from your Class Leader, Officer or me, via the same three ways of communication. Again, while this is not made to make you feel embarrassed it is more of a warning that whatever behaviors are being exhibited are not a part of the cohesion which is the Burning Sensation Guild.

The third strike will come from any of the leadership positions and will include the removal of your body from our guild. It may not be something that you can help, like being late to every raid, or it maybe something you can help like being a jerk to everyone.

Regardless of which when you’re removed from the guild that is the end of the story.

Leaving the Guild

If you decide that BS isn’t worth the BS you have to put up with, you of course can leave at any point in time. There will be no negative retribution for your leaving (if there is contact myself, an officer, or a class leader so that the person who does so can be disciplined).

If you leave under good graces you may at sometime be considered to come back (considered like any other applicant) if for whatever reason you leave under doesn’t work out, or you come back to the game etc…

If you leave because you are mad at something that transpires, you’ll stay gone. There are no re-invites. Make your choice, make it wisely, this isn’t wishy washy I’m gone today here tomorrow, give us a chance to make things right before you make a snap decision.

If you do leave, even under good graces, your DKP goes away, and if you are allowed to return at some point in time, you will be handled the same as any Moochie is handled.

Guild Bank

The guild banks will be open for anyone in the guild to use, at the discretion of the bank holders. If it is a rare item, or one we have few of, it will be held or given out to a BS Raider (think furthering the guild).

Try to treat the bank as just that. You need to deposit some things that are useful, and you certainly should be able to get things you find useful. That isn’t to say that all your pretty sparklies should go to the bank! It is that if you find yourself using the bank to obtain things, replace them (in time) with things you can get that you know others can use.

Recipes for the Guild

When we get a new recipe for the guild, one that hasn’t been obtained yet, it will be treated under the, “Loot Nazi” ruling. That is to say, it will go to someone in the guild that has been with the guild for a long while. After it is obtained by one person in the guild we open it up to free rolls for those that are interested. This is to make sure that the guild will have the item readably available for crafting.

The crafter guide will be a mod that is shown when you “log in” to the website. But for now it will be carried under the Crafters forum.

Changes to the Charter

Changes to the charter will be made when something needs amending or added to facilitate a new rule and / or condition. The reason for the change will be discussed with the officers during officer meetings (all can come to listen, you will be muted though), unless something warrants an immediate change. An Officer’s ruling is the final say. While the officers and Guild Leader do hear and listen to your concerns we try and do what is best for the guild overall at all times.

Complaints

If you have a complaint please express it to your Class Leader, if it is about your Class Leader, express it to an Officer or the Guild Leader.

You will remain anonymous if it is a discipline issue, unless it is pertinent to the situation at hand, and will only be discussed within the Class Leaders and Officers.

Your Voice...

While reading through this you may think that your voice carries no weight in the direction the guild goes. This is both true and not, and I’d like to explain why. We have experienced too much in the past how too many cooks in the kitchen can spoil the soup, and our proverbial soup is to be in the end game 25 man instances mixing it up, or perhaps leading the way for the Horde guilds.

Your voice is actually very important to us, you can speak candidly with GrandeTaco at any point, or more encouraged is to speak with your Class Leader. Voice your concerns, voice your opinions! Voice them but do not expect it to change something. It very well may turn the tide of the direction to the guild but if you EXPECT it to you will be sorely disappointed which could cause discontent for the guild.

Your happiness and enjoyment of the guild is very important to me, however anytime a decision is made in any direction it influences 35 other people raiding, so all must be weighed heavily.
